Hi There,

When i heard about one of my favorite singer-song writers dying of the same thing my father died of I was very upset. My father was the famous song writer Dale Noe who wrote the #1 hit song in 1967 “It’s Such A Pretty World Today” sung by Eddie Arnold.

My father struggled with the same type of cancer for 3 years before he died and 2 of it he did not know he had it. When they finally found out it was too late and he was in the hospital on his death bed. I watched him go from a 6′ 2″, 260 lb. man to skin and bones in just a matter of months…it was a very scary time for me to watch this brave man die this way. He was a gentle man and when he was alive and well people loved my father and knew him as a jokester , a man with a great sense of humor and wonderful writing abilities…but he never realy made it after that one song…oh he had small hits..but nothing major after that.

I’ll always remember the way my dad asked for a watch the day before he died and put it on his arm to keep time…he even LOOKED like father time..He had died the morning after my birthday Nov.4th, 2004.

Since then I have made it a point to get myself checked regularly for the same thing – so far so good! I wish i could do for my father what you have done for Dan. At the time of my fathers death I was very ill with other problems and couldn’t think straight enough to really do much in his memory, but  maybe this will do something for him..Thanks for this opportunity!!!!

Sincerely one of Dans greatest fans,

Ramona D
