I have been a nanny and a caregiver for an Alzheimer’s patient for many years…and guess what? Last year I was diagnosed with Diabetes too. I am only 46, and I am so angry I didn’t take better care of ME through the years. I thought I was invincible. (Fat…but invincible. Ha, ha!)
I recently hired a low-cost trainer, kept her for a few months… and I now work out on my own…almost daily, with a few set-backs… exercise keeps me more energized, feeling so much better…upped the fresh foods and I am trying to control my appetite with Arbonne low-carb, nutrition-packed shakes. It seems to help me..the chocolate one is awesome and I always know a “treat” is available so I can hold off …so I am getting better at self-discipline and my management of my energy levels and blood sugar.
On a personal note, I so admire and respect you for the love and strength you showed to Dan…I have never encountered a more gifted musician and poet…but even a genius needs kind eyes to gaze into and a precious hand to hold. The Lord smiles on those who help the downtrodden.
Love,
Michelle N
